Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body cutting off a wall of the septic tank
A construction worker has died after entering into a septic tank in an under-construction building at Kalihati, Tangail on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, Badshah, 55, was a steelworker and a resident of Dhunail village of the area.
Samsul, a kitchen shop owner and a witness of the incident said, Badshah had entered the septic tank to remove wooden sintering from the tank. However, he fell ill at the tank and the other workers could not lift him from the deep tank.
“Later, informed by them, members of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and recovered his dead body cutting off a wall of the septic tank,” said Monjurul Islam, station officer of Kalihati Fire Service.
“We along with locals took him to a hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead,” added the officer.
